Therapy For Moms
with Nikki Rollo, PhD, LMFT
As a mom of three working full-time and running a business in Brooklyn, I understand how easy it is to put yourself last.
Do you feel like you’re always behind, stretched thin, and running on fumes? Is your self-care low to non-existent?
Maybe the stress is showing up in your body: aching shoulders, short patience, and wondering how long you can keep pushing through.
Motherhood asks everything of you, and somewhere along the way, you might lose touch with the parts of yourself that need care too.
Moms Come To Me When They
Feel unseen / lost
Are going through transitions
Struggle finding balance
Feel pulled between family + career
Are exhausted and feeling on-edge
Question maternal identity
When these feelings affect how you move through life, therapy can help change your perspective and reconnect with yourself.
Therapy is a place to slow down and reconnect with yourself even in the chaos of the daily demands of motherhood.
Together, we’ll look at how to bring more calm, clarity, and compassion into your daily life.
What Therapy With Me Looks Like
You’ll learn to listen to your body’s signals instead of pushing past them, build sustainable self-care, and develop tools to meet stress with patience rather than guilt or frustration.
We’ll use a combination of approaches:
-
Builds a kind inner voice and helps reduce self-criticism and shame.
-
Explores unconscious patterns and symbols to deepen self-understanding and integrate all parts of yourself, body and soul.
-
Uses mindfulness and body awareness to track sensations and release stored stress.
-
Strengthens emotional regulation and balance when life feels unpredictable.
-
Studies how relationships and family roles shape your well-being, helping you make changes that last.
-
Develop emotional intelligence, improve your relationships, and find healing and growth, based in attachment theory.
Start to move from survival mode to steady presence.
Parenthood Is Not About Perfection
Fears, worries, and concerns are normal. Therapy helps you return to yourself, calmer, clearer, and more connected to what matters.
Changes You’ll See After Therapy Together
More patience, even under stress
Relief from “mom rage”
Clarity instead of chaos
Deeper self-understanding
Nourishment from within
Feeling more whole
More compassion for yourself
Sense of meaning and purpose
About Nikki Rollo, PhD, LMFT, CEDS-C, PMH-C
I combine deep clinical expertise with lived experience as a mother, therapist, and business owner. I know what it’s like to juggle multiple identities and still feel like there’s never enough of you to go around.
In our work together, we’ll create space for you to be seen and feel supported. Therapy with me is compassionate and grounded, blending emotional insight with practical tools to help you live with more balance and self-acceptance.
Outside of work, I’m usually with my family, enjoying Brooklyn’s parks and cafes, or finding a quiet moment to recharge with reading and yoga or some other kind of mindful movement. If you’re ready to take the first step, I’d be honored to connect.
